Francis Njoku, a cab driver for Indrive, has been accused of stealing a package and has expressed his intention to take legal action against actress Adunni Ade. The dispute between them arose from the driver’s alleged decision not to deliver the actress’s package after completing the trip. Adunni took to Instagram on Wednesday to call out the ride-hailing service, claiming that the driver absconded with her package and was not answering her calls despite her efforts to reach out to Indrive. Her post sparked criticism from many users who called out the company.
In a subsequent post, Adunni mentioned that Njoku eventually delivered her package after his profile was suspended by the company. She also shared screenshots of her conversations with Njoku and her fashion designer, who had sent out the package. In the screenshots provided by the actress, Njoku accused her of tarnishing his reputation and threatened to take legal action.
“You have damaged my reputation, and I have consulted my legal team. We will see you in court. You were not the one who requested the ride. Several human rights lawyers and activists have reached out to me, and I will not let this go. You must issue an unconditional apology and ask Instablog to take down the post,” Njoku said.
In response to the threat, Adunni Ade stated, “I never lie or cheat others. If we talk about change, let it begin with you. Throughout my adult life of ordering and delivering items or using logistic services, I have never encountered anyone as rude, disrespectful, arrogant, uncivilized, and entitled as Francis Njoku.”
