Elon Musk stated on social media platform X that SpaceX intends to send approximately five uncrewed Starships to Mars within the next two years. He also mentioned that if these missions are successful, crewed missions could be possible within four years.
However, in the event of any difficulties, the crewed missions will be delayed by another two years. Musk emphasized that regardless of the landing outcomes, SpaceX will significantly increase the number of spaceships traveling to Mars during each transit opportunity. Earlier this month, Musk had previously announced the launch of the uncrewed Starships to Mars, stating that the first Starships are set to launch in 2 years when the next Earth-Mars transfer window opens.
